Sleeping in Savasana

My yoga journey

Sweaty Betty Class

on February 17, 2015

After a lovely weekend in London and managing to get some yoga in while traveling it was good to get home on Sunday night and do some stretching. I did a 15 minute gentle stretching video by Yoga by Candace. I’ve done this twice now and it’s really good as a short relaxing video to help stretch out either after traveling or dance class. I think it’s going to become one of my go to videos.

Last night I went to Sweaty Betty’s yoga class. They hold classes in store and they are all free. They launched an online booking tool for this year and it makes it much easier to book or cancel classes. Even with the online booking system there were 3 or 4 people who didn’t turn up for the class, which is a shame as there were people on the waiting list.

The class was taught by Jenna from Meadowlark. She’s got a really nice calm manner and was good at giving both general and individual corrections. Mats were provided and the class in right in the city centre so it’s really handy. I’m certainly going to go again. The only thing that was a bit odd was that as I was on the end of a row I had to be careful not to knock over clothes when I did side bends.
