Sleeping in Savasana

My yoga journey

One to One Yoga

on October 28, 2015

The Guardian runs a series of articles called ‘Is it Worth it?’ which are about a variety of exercise related things including Yoga Boxing but this week they covered One-on-One Yoga classes.

It’s something that I’ve thought about doing to improve my alignment but I’ve never got round to it. I enjoyed doing Mysore Classes, which are similar to one to one tuition but it’s a set lot of moves so it’s not so easy to work on the poses that you want to improve. I also ended up with a one to one class at Sunrise Yoga but that was a planned class that only I did.

I think that I’d get good benefit from a one-to-one class but it’s quite expensive in comparison to a regular class. It’s £35-£50 for an hour rather than £8-12 for a class. I’m considering asking for a private yoga class as a Christmas present but it’d be good to know others experience of them. Have you done a private yoga class and how did you find it?

  1. I have wanted to do this for some time but I live on a tight budget and can never really justify spending the money. I think with the right teacher it would be well worth it, let us know how you get on if you decide to go for it.
