Medative Lent

I generally don’t give up things for Lent. Mainly as I don’t have too many bad habits that I want to stop completely and that I try to follow everything in moderation. So instead I try to take up something new. One year it was a photo diary, another it was working out twice a week, another cooking from scratch ever night (left overs that I’d cooked counted). It’s amazing what you can do for 40 days. 

I originally was planning on doing 5 minutes of yoga every day but with my current injury and various other things that are going on, I don’t want to set up something that is likely to fail from the outset. 

So I’ve decided to focus on meditation for lent this year. My aim is simple, to meditate every day for 40 days. It doesn’t matter if it’s for 3 minutes or 30 but I must do at least some every day. 

Maybe I should start the Instagram tag #meditateeverydamnday then again I’m sure someone else probably already has.
