Improving my diet

One of the good things about being away was that it made me reasses my diet and what I eat. I feel that I have been eating far too much processed food since I moved house. I have been considering doing the Whole 30 challenge to get things back on track. However the next month involves lots of work meetings, dinners out and a couple of other events. So I know that if I started a 30 day challenge now that I would fail.

Instead I’m doing a seven day whole food plan. I’m avoiding any processed food, dairy and wheat until next Sunday. It’s involved quite a bit more planning than I usually do in terms of food.


Today, first day I don’t think I ate enough during the daytime so by 5pm I was starving. I ended up making dinner earlier than usual and I’ll see how I do avoiding snacking this evening. I have nuts, raisins and popcorn (kernels to pop) to eat if I do get very hungry.

Breakfast – Overnight oats with coconut milk and blueberries

Lunch – turkey bacon and eggs

Dinner – Vegetable bolagnase with courgette and carrot noodles

Snacks – Grapes and lots of herbal tea

    nothing like a holiday to make you reassess your diet, right?
    But is that a bottle of Verve Clicquot in there? Does it count within the category of grapes that you’re snacking on? 🙂
