Making time for practice

Only four weeks into the year and already my plan of attending on class a week is getting tough. I’m struggling with some side effects of new medication for my hip and it’s making doing things difficult. 

I’ve go some other tablets to try to help but it’s still been tough. I’m aiming on going twice this weekend to make up for the missed classes but it’s difficult. 

I have however been making doing my own practice either before or after teaching a more regular occurrence. I’m only doing 20-30 minutes but at least it’s some and it’s better than nothing. 

One area that I have been successful in is mindfulness and meditation. I did a mindfulness course that I’ve not written about but I will. I’ve been taking time to meditate each day even if it’s just been a 3 minute body scan. It’s really helped with relaxing and sleeping better.
