Back on my mat

As I’ve written before I lost my motivation and drive for yoga for a while. I had a while were other than teaching I wasn’t doing much yoga. That’s not good for me and it’s something that I’m fixing.

I now have started exploring more yoga, both in person and online. I’m back doing Yoga By Candace videos and getting inspiration from them. I’ve realised that other people’s classes and videos are a great source of inspiration, especially for new transitions. It’s really helped with getting me motivated to teach different combinations of poses and to be more adventurous with classes.

I’m also back doing Bikram again, which I love and love the heat. It’s a bit annoying in that they’ve changed the timetable so they no longer do the 6pm Friday class which was a good way to end the week. Instead I’m going to try doing Tuesday night classes but I know that I’m going to miss them often as I need to leave work slightly early to make it to class on time.

I also made it to the Bikram Asana lab on Saturday which I’ll cover in another post as it was really useful and interesting.
