My yoga journey


I first encountered yoga in 1998 while at school and was fortunate to have a teacher who was passionate about it and that knew that it would help us with the stress of exams and deciding on our future path. I then fell out of the habit of going to regular yoga classes until 2005 when I injured my back. As part of my rehabilitation to be able to walk/sit/move without pain I started doing both yoga and pilates. I found both useful but given the limitations of time chose to do more pilates than yoga.

In late 2014, my life change significantly from how I planned and I spent most of 2015 re-discovering who I was. Yoga was a great part of this and enabled me to find a path through a greatly challenging time. In 2016 I took my yoga teacher training and started teaching.

My blog is very much a collection of my thoughts, my opinions and my journey in yoga and beyond.
